Enterprise Clients:

  • Delivered a tablet proof of concept for an international, household name retailer that added £6m value per annum. Additionally, delivered a 30% reduction in costs (£16m) and reported 38.7% revenue improvements (£116m) six months after transforming their e-commerce platform.

  • Drove a “digital first” strategy and change in mindset/ways of working for an international news organisation that achieved 28% increase in website audience and 69% in mobile audience year-on-year, resulting in increased advertising spend. 

  • Created the “biggest-ever retail activism campaign” for an iconic British retailer to highlight the issues with our oceans and overfishing,

  • Delivered a new global platform for an international healthcare insurance provider eight months early, saving 30% on costs, achieving a 20% increase in traffic and doubling conversion rates for the initial launch markets.

  • Led the redesign of The Sun’s social networking site, MY Sun, adding major functionality elements and resolving the poor relationship between stakeholders and supplier.

  • Built brand loyalty, established premium positioning and improved corporate social responsibility for a spirit' brand’s online store.

  • Consolidated over 50 local FMCG websites into a single, global portal website featuring region-specific languages, SEO, accessibility and mobile versions.

  • Developed the creative campaign for a global whisky brand resulting in an 800% increase in website traffic over two years without an increase in promotional budget.

Start-Ups And Small / Medium Businesses

  • Accelerated the growth of an international technology SMB with recent investment by helping them find new markets, pivoting the business to focus on data, preparing a new product strategy and go-to-market plan. Ultimately under my leadership I helped open new opportunities and increase revenue to £15m over two years.

  • Guided a major investor through the integration of two Swiss ‘deal a day’ websites by creating their “One Effective Organisation Action Plan” to integrate the organisations. By aligning them to focus on acquisition and retention, creating a feature set to maximise revenue, and identifying high priority features I was able to increase revenue by 2.2m CHF during the integration period.

  • Transformed a Swiss online marketplace, which allowed a private equity investor to successfully exit the company with several hundred million CHF in profit after 18 months.

Back in the Day:

  • Launched a leading loan company’s website, resulting in £2m in sales, 22% increase in unit value and 25,000 sessions per week within the first month.

  • Developed an e-business strategy for a major movie distributor and mobile phone operator.

  • Launched an international bank’s first multi-division website, including development of their e-commerce strategy, competitor review and technology evaluation.

  • Created a new portal for a joint venture between an international bank and national power company that allowed the cross-selling of products to SMBs and consumers.

  • Built a secure IFA extranet for a national financial services organisation to allow online customer illustrations.

  • Devised the digital strategy for a national finance magazine to support market entry, expand circulation and increase advertising revenues.

  • Set up a multi-discipline team across four locations for a medium-sized national consultancy firm to build client delivery capability.

  • Evaluated the original car buying comparison website’s consumer proposition to allow for the up-selling of car loan products.
